Bishop Dr. Jarrett West is a proud native Houstonian (Houston, Texas), born to Earnest and Barbara West. He obtained his primary and secondary education within the public schools of the Houston Independent School District graduating in the top 10% of his class from Kashmere High School. After completing high school, he was accepted into the University of Texas-Austin where he studied Astronomy and attended the University of Houston-Central receiving his Bachelor’s Degree in Management Information Systems.

 

Bishop Dr. J. West has been a full-time employee of an elite Industrial supply company for 25yrs and currently holds the position as a Sr. Account Manager, handling various multi-million-dollar contractual agreements/accounts for the entire Texas region.

 

Bishop Dr. J. West accepted the call from God to preach 23yrs. ago, serving as Assistant Pastor for several years. He was ordained in 2012 and later became the Founder and Bishop of the Abundant Faith Christian Center located in Humble, Texas where he ministers to a diverse and energetic congregation since February 4, 2012.  Bishop Dr. J. West’s emphasis on the need for spiritual growth and development through the teaching of God’s Word, which has aligned with his assignment from God.  The foundation and mission for the saints affiliated with the Abundant Faith ministry is to “Change This World One Life At A Time”. On June 17, 2023, he received his Honorary Doctoral Degree of Theology from Inner Peace Theology Institute.   

 

He is married to Mrs. LeAnn West and share the joy of their three beautiful daughters and one son.
